IB MYP NEWS & INFORMATION
We are all IB Learners
The Middle Years International Baccalaureate Program (MYP-IB) is designed to meet the academic as well as social, emotional, physical, creative and political developmental needs of adolescent learners. Students participate and complete rigorous academic assignments that encourage depth of thought and making connections between the students' lives and the rest of the world.

It is not just about academics; it is about supporting the development of the whole child. The concept of balance is fundamental to the program. Students are expected to participate in community and service learning activities, as well as take three years of a foreign language. All Northeast students are welcome to participate in the MYP-IB program.

Holistic Learning: students acquire knowledge as an interrelated whole through linking disciplines and developing a global view of issues.

Intercultural Awareness: learning about their own and others' social and national cultures, students develop the attitudes, knowledge and skills needed to consider multiple perspectives.

Communication: reflection and expression in multiple forms is fundamental to student learning and the acquisition of languages.
