Over 250 people attended NEMS Family Night on February 9th. The evening began with a scavenger hunt that led people through the science fair projects 6th graders created for Mr. Kuch's science class. After finishing the Science Fair Scavenger Hunt, families were treated with a pizza dinner. The dinner was followed by parents visiting various class rooms to learn more about IB, ELL, AVID, and reading programs that are offered at our school. At the same time, the baskeball teams were striving for victory.

As 7:00 neared, everyone proceeded toward the auditorium to witness and participate in a terrific band and choir concert led by director Charlie Preis. In addition to our talented students, three staff members -- Jason Jirsa, Liz Patrick, and Tom  Zaworski -- participated as guest artists.

A big "thank you" goes out to everyone who helped make this NEMS Family Night a success.
