Fifty Fabulous Female Leaders
Monday, October 07, 2013 2:00 PM

Fifty NEMS girls participated in a leadership workshop this weekend. The girls learned about basic leadership concepts, leadership as part of their everyday lives, evaluated their personal leadership style and how it relates to their social behaviors, explored how values impact a behavior in a group, practiced making ethical decisions in personal and leadership situations, and practiced taking appropriate risks.

The program was sponsored by the Kappa Kappa Gamma a women’s fraternity. The college youth served as mentors and groups leaders throughout the training. All of the college students are enrolled at the University of Minnesota.

A special thank you to Ms. Beutler for organizing and spending her weekend enriching the lives of our students. Several smiling faces Sunday morning when Ms. Hansen and Ms. Dye arrived for the final celebration, which also included several families.
