Northeast’s first IB Night was a great success. We started our evening in the auditorium to learn more about the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme and how we’re implementing it at Northeast. From the auditorium, families went to the cafeteria to enjoy a delicious pasta dinner served by our PTA. Families were then welcome to visit grade-level teams and specialists in classrooms to find out more about how we are creating units, assessments, the Learner Profile in action, and any other information pertinent to the everyday lives of the students at Northeast.
The Diploma Programme Coordinator from Edison, Max Athorn, was on hand to answer questions about IB at Edison High School. There were several tables of free books for families and the PTA was selling shirts and yard signs. The evening was a great opportunity for our community to come together to talk about learning through our Middle Years Programme at Northeast.
