Library Media

Minneapolis Public Schools’ mission is to support students’ growth into “knowledgable, skilled, and confident citizens capable of succeeding in their work, personal, family, and community lives into the 21st century.”

The International Baccalaureate’s mission is “to develop inquiring, knowledgable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.”

To support these missions, the mission of the Northeast Middle School Library Media staff is to assist all students and staff in becoming active and responsible locators, users, creators, and evaluators of information, media, and technology; the mission of the library media program is to provide all students and staff with equitable access to the resources required for learning; and the mission of the library media center is to be a warm, stimulating, and safe environment that is dynamic, enthusiastic, and student-centered."
