Mill City Museum Field Trip
Monday, January 10, 2011 7:55 PM

On Friday, January 7th, the sixth graders explored the history of flour production at the famed Mill City Museum. The facility -- which overlooks St. Anthony Falls -- provides visitors with a variety of interactive experiences, all designed to bring the past to life. Students learn how geography, entrepreneurship, and sheer ingenuity combined to make Minneapolis the center of the North American milling industry, and one of the dominant players in the global food commodity trade.

With their teachers, the sixth grade students will continue to explore math, science, and history themes they were exposed to during the Mill City field trip.
