On Tuesday, October 27th, students from Ms. Malone’s and Ms. Amble’s classes were invited by Project Success to attend the production of "Alice in Wonderland" at the Stages Theater in the Hopkins Center for the Arts.
It was a beautiful, sunny fall day as the students boarded the bus at Northeast and rode out to Hopkins, excited to be attending the theater.
The play was held in the Hopkins Jaycees Studio with a whimsically decorated stage in the center and audience seating around the four walls of the theater. The production featured elementary to middle school aged actors, dressed in elaborate, colorful costumes as they told the story of Alice’s adventures in the bizarre, mixed-up world of Wonderland. The students enjoyed the interactive performance, and also had the opportunity to meet several of the actors afterward in the lobby.
Many thanks to Project Success for allowing NEMS students to experience this unique theatrical production! A big thank you, too, to Stages Theater for the donated tickets!
