On Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, ETS (Educational Talent Search) took student volunteers to Arc's Value Village. There were eight Northeast Middle School students who combined with twelve North High and nine Washburn High students to sort clothing donations at the Arc's Value Village in Brooklyn Center.
The students volunteered for 2 hours and then were able to watch a video produced by the organization so the students could learn how their hard work was helping to raise money. The kids did a great job and the workers were thoroughly impressed with the speed of the students' work.
After volunteering, the group ate at Old Country Buffet and completed a quiz of Martin Luther King, Jr. facts. If you see any of the students listed below, please ask about their experience and congratulate them for getting out of bed and giving their time on a day off.
