The Audubon Neighborhood Association (ANA) in partnership with Northeast Middle School (NEMS) and the Mississippi Watershed Management Organization (WMWO) has completed a proposed plan to build a rain garden in the South end of the South parking lot at Northeast Middle School, and work on the project has begun. The ANA and NEMS received a planning grant from MWMO for this project, and students from NEMS have been involved in the whole process. The purpose of this plan is to address water runoff from the parking lot and to help beautify the area along 29th Avenue. We are looking forward to the completed project! In the meantime, we apologize to our neighbors for more street parking being necessary due to the parking lot being less useable.
