Wednesday Morning Science Club!

Northeast Middle School students – mostly 6th Graders – kicked of a brand new Science Club Wednesday morning before school. In partnership with General Mills, the students began brainstorming and researching science project ideas.

After working with General Mills volunteers/scientists Alexis Clark, JoAnne Garbe, Shari Keivit, and Jonathan Firebaugh as well as Michael Zoellner (Science teacher) and Joe Bloedoorn (Family/Community Liaison), each student left Science Club with at least two project ideas.

The students will continue to meet each Wednesday morning to work on projects ranging from trebuchet construction to crystal radio assembly, and they will ultimately be able to show off their experiments at the upcoming Science Fair.
