ETS TRIO at NEMS
St. Olaf TRIO Educational Talent Search (ETS) is a college preparatory program funded by the U.S. Department of Education. The goal of ETS is to increase the likelihood that students learn about careers, college and financial aid, complete high school and gain admission to and ultimately graduate from postsecondary programs.
ETS academic advisors work with Northeast Middle School counselors and teachers to connect work with all Northeast Middle School students through classroom presentations on topics such as career exploration, study skills, college, financial aid, etc. TRIO ETS is an early intervention program that annually serves 700 participants from five target schools in Minneapolis and St. Paul.
Northeast Middle School lead TRIO ETS academic advisor for the 2021-2022 academic year is Anna Schmid, along with Ben Xiong, and director Juan Telles. Anna and Ben will be at Northeast Middle School every Thursday and Friday during school hours.
