Minneapolis Public Schools’ first True Food Taste Test of the 2018-2019 school year is coming up!

Northeast Middle School students, don’t miss a chance to try a sample of Harvest Hummus in the cafeteria during lunch on November 14.

The recipe for Harvest Hummus was developed by Naimah Muhammed, an 8th grader at Marcy Open School, and is made with pumpkin, butternut squash, chickpeas, and a mix of savory seasonings, making it the perfect fall snack.

Students who try it will get a sticker and the chance to brainstorm a new name for the hummus. The best name will be used on the MPS lunch menus the next time the dish is served!
